Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After a relaxed breakfast, your private safari guide will collect you and begin the journey towards Tarangire National Park.

The landscape gradually changes as you leave Arusha behind, opening into the wild scenery of northern Tanzania. Tarangire is particularly famous for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and quiet wildlife-filled plains.

Enjoy your first game drive with your private safari vehicle, taking time to stop whenever something catches your eye. Rather than rushing from sighting to sighting, your safari is designed around enjoying the wilderness at your own pace.

Later, settle into your luxury camp surrounded by the sounds and atmosphere of the African bush.

Along the way, you may have the opportunity to experience Maasai culture and gain a glimpse into traditional life in this remarkable part of Tanzania.

By afternoon, arrive at your luxury lodge and enjoy the spectacular highland setting. This evening is yours to relax and prepare for one of the most memorable wildlife experiences of the safari.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Serengeti National Park

Today begins with one of Tanzania’s signature experiences: descending into the Ngorongoro Crater.

The crater floor is a remarkable natural wildlife sanctuary, where elephants, buffalo, lions, hippos, antelope and other wildlife can often be found within the dramatic walls of the ancient caldera. With patience and a little luck, there may also be an opportunity to encounter the endangered black rhino.

After your crater experience, continue towards the Serengeti.

As you enter the park, the scenery becomes increasingly expansive. Endless grasslands stretch towards the horizon, setting the stage for the next chapter of your safari: the Great Migration.

Accommodation: Lemala Nanyukie

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner

Day 5: Serengeti: Into Great Migration Country

Wake to the sounds of the Serengeti and set out for a full day in the wilderness.

Your private guide will follow the seasonal movement of the wildebeest and zebra, adapting the day's route according to where wildlife activity is taking place. The Great Migration is constantly moving, and this flexibility is an important part of experiencing it well.

Along the way, keep watch for lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas and other predators that depend on the migrating herds.

A private picnic lunch can be enjoyed in the wilderness before continuing your exploration of the Serengeti.

Return to camp later in the afternoon and enjoy a relaxed evening beneath the African sky.

Day 6: Serengeti: Migration, Predators & a Private Sundowner

Rise early for a beautiful sunrise safari across the Serengeti.

The early hours are often magical in the park, when the light is soft, temperatures are cooler and wildlife is becoming active. Your guide will choose the route according to recent sightings and the seasonal location of the migration.

Return to camp for breakfast and some time to relax before heading out again later in the day.

As the sun begins to fall, enjoy a private sundowner in the wilderness. With a drink in hand and the Serengeti stretching into the distance, this is the kind of quiet moment that stays with you long after the safari has ended.

Day 7: Serengeti to Arusha and Entebbe, Uganda

Enjoy one final morning in the Serengeti before transferring to the airstrip for your onward flight connections.

Arrive at your luxury lodge and settle into the peaceful rainforest surroundings.

There is something special about this part of Uganda. The atmosphere is quiet, deeply green and wonderfully removed from everyday life. Take the evening to relax and prepare for tomorrow's unforgettable encounter.

Day 9: Bwindi: Mountain Gorilla Trekking

The trek itself is part of the adventure. You will walk through ancient rainforest, following your expert trackers and guides as they lead you towards the gorillas.

Then, suddenly, the forest comes alive with the presence of a gorilla family.

Watching these extraordinary animals at close range is an experience that is difficult to put into words. Their expressions, relationships and quiet strength create a connection that remains one of Africa's most memorable wildlife encounters.

After your trek, return to the lodge, enjoy a well-earned meal and spend the afternoon relaxing.

Day 10: Bwindi to Lake Bunyonyi

After breakfast, leave Bwindi behind and continue towards Lake Bunyonyi, one of Uganda’s most beautiful highland lakes.

Arrive at your lakeside retreat and enjoy a slower afternoon.

You may simply relax by the water, take in the views or enjoy a private boat excursion between the lake's islands.

After several days of safari and trekking, Lake Bunyonyi provides the perfect opportunity to slow down and enjoy Uganda at a gentler pace.
